Dissemination of EBP Project Research
Dissemination of EBP Project Research
Describe one internal and one external method for the dissemination of your EBP project results of the nursing shortage and focusing on using the evidence-based practice solutions of incepting a preceptor program and an AORN 101 perioperative program. For example, an internal method may be the hospital board, and an external method as the California nursing association Discuss why it is important to report your results to both of these groups. How will your communication strategies change for each group? Give 3 references Dissemination of EBP Project Research.
In order to evaluate an evidence-based practice project, it is important to be able to determine the effectiveness of your change. Discuss two ways you will be able to evaluate whether your project of reducing shortage of perioperative nurses by incepting a preceptor program and AORN 101 perioperative program made a difference in practice. Give 3 references.

Disseminating evidence
EBP project results can either be disseminated using internal or external methods. The internal methods refer to communication tools that are available within a facility to facilitate information exchange limited to the facility. Two internal methods were identified in the form of presentations and posters through a symposium within the facility. The symposium would use the two methods as an opportunity for dialogue about the project results. At the conclusion of the symposium, the posters and presentation will be availed to all facility personnel through a virtual gallery on an intranet system to facilitate future reference. The gallery would serve as a roaming poster and presentation that is readily available to all personnel with access to the intranet (Marquis & Huston, 2017). Other than the gallery, the poster with project findings will be displayed in the affected department to create an opportunity for further discussion of the results and recommendations between different health professions. Other than the internal dissemination, the EBP project results would also be presented to external audiences through external conferences. Publications entail presenting the results through peer reviewed journals that detail the process applied in conducting the project to facilitate replication as well as the results and recommendations. The peer-reviewed journals would make the results more accessible to external stakeholders in a wider geographical reach while assuring them that the results have been verified as true since all information is verified as true by professional peers before publication. The selected methods are considered appropriate since they are convenient, available and easy to use. That is because they have pre-structured templates. In addition, they are able reach the required audiences and garner their attention through the visual aids (Ellis, 2016) Dissemination of EBP Project Research.
Project evaluation
Following the project’s implementation, an evaluation would then be conducted to determine the effectiveness of the change. The evaluation would entail collecting medical assessment statistics before analyzing it to determine the effectiveness. In this case, the medical statistics would be collected before the start of the project and at its conclusion. Comparing the differences in the results from before and after the project implementation would then be blamed on the project since it was the only variable that had been manipulated and changed other than time. That is to say that this evaluation approach would plat emphasis on health data, displaying how treatment outcomes rate the project. This would require that data be collected from the patients’ health information repository that notes trends and how long the patients spend in the facility in an easy to access indexed format (Ellis, 2016). The second evaluation method would entail conducting interviews with patients and nurses. The interviews will identify attitude and performance changes prior to the project commencing and being completed. The interviews will use pre-structured surveys that collect opinions and attitudes about the project from patients and medical personnel to identify trends and relationships between variables and factors. The two data collection tools will carry out their function to collect medical scores and assessments, as well as patient demographics to direct practice changes based on tangible evidence. The two project evaluation methods (medical results and interviews) would then act as direct echoes of the project with any notable change being attributed to the project features. This means that the two methods will be mutually exclusive with regards to information collection that considers relevance for directing provision of medical care and relying on evidence to direct recommendations (Melnyk B.M & Fineout-Overholt, 2011).
