Advanced nursing practice relies on evidence-based practice guidelines and ethical considerations to resolve dilemmatic incidences encountered in the clinical setting. This is because, often, nurses interact with patients who hold diverse opinions and beliefs that conflict with the nursing practices and experiences. Physical examinations are routine tests conducted to assess the overall health of individuals. The health assessment information necessary for diagnosis of this patient include a list of current medications taken by the client. This entails both the herbal supplements and the over-the-counter drugs. This follows evidence based philosophical reasons and upholds the autonomy and liberty of the client. However, depending on the vulnerability of the child, I will review previous research and consult with the medical experts to be able to draw an informed decision on whether to forcefully undertake the vaccination following the beneficence principle of ethics or respect the parent’s decision.
