Week 10 Practicum Journal: Checkpoint for Certification Plan

Even though I had planned to ensure that I study for approximately 2 hours per day, I study for at least 1 hour daily and I ensure that I allocate most time to the areas I find a bit challenging. During my study, I continue to review the relevant books including the ANCC review book, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The ANCC review book contains the ANCC test process and information relevant to the certification exam. In addition, I continue reviewing Fitzgerald book and this book contains content and questions relevant to the questions in the certification exam. I also ensure that I handle all sections in the Fitzgerald book to ensure that I adequately understand the content in the book; this is because Fitzgerald has always been considered to contain model content for the questions likely to be in the certification exam. I also continue using board vitals during my study just like I had studied. Use of the board vitals is likely to familiarize me with the exam blueprint and enable me to gain insight about the certification. When using the board vitals, I do several practice tests and at the same time cover various sample questions.
